A Poem For Justine

Today’s assignment is to sort through previous blog posts, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for inspiration. It’s suggested that we try poetry. I’m not a poet but I’m up for the challenge.

My site is a tribute to my daughter Justine

She lived 29 years,

It seems like a dream.

We lost her one morning,

Driving on her way home

That’s when fate intervened.

She was almost there,

Almost to her place,

But the highway was mean.

We know she’s in heaven,

Although not in the clouds,

She’s somewhere green,

It’s tropical there,

With ocean and sand,

Where she would beam.

We try to be happy

For her we live on,

To honour our angel, Justine.
