I drive by a tiny place called West Montrose when I’m coming home from my mom’s place. Just a mile or so off the highway is a cute covered bridge. It’s the only covered bridge left in Ontario. While I was there a Mennonite man drove through it and I got a few great shots.
We still have one or two covered bridges in Ohio–and Amish buggies that drive through them. Magic and history (one is called the Bridge of Dreams), in little bits, combined–just like in your photos, Cathy Lynn!

I love covered bridges, which are fairly common, still, in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and upstate New York.

I read “The Bridges of Madison County” and loved the description of the covered bridges.
