I’ve Started My New YA Novel

My new work in progress is a young adult novel about two women who lead very different lives and end up finding true love with one another. I’m hoping LGBQT teens and young adults will be able to find hope. Rosa is a teenager with a secret. She’s very smart and hopes to escape her… Read More I’ve Started My New YA Novel

Beautiful Lake Huron Sunsets

I shared some photos of the most beautiful sunsets in the world two weeks ago. You can see those here. I’m in Kincardine, while my mom’s broken heel mends. Since then we have had snow blizzards for several days. I’m happy to report the sunsets have returned.

Change for Mental Health is on the Horizon…FINALLY!

This is an extremely important article on how improvements can be made in treating people with mental health issues. A Month of “Lasts”

I am working the last month of my career as an Educational Assistant. My last day is October 26th. Today, I did my very last bus duty of my life. Bus duty entails standing outside on top of a big hill. On gorgeous days like today, it’s a pleasure but in the middle of winter,… Read More A Month of “Lasts”

One of my favourite mottos is Everything Happens For a Reason. This was surely what happened. I had to go through the entire manuscript… Read More After My Little Setback

Is it Autumn?

We, in Ontario, Canada are having a heat wave. We’ve had an unseasonably wet, cool summer and now it seems summer has arrived.

Some Clarification

I’ve booked a venue for my book launch and I’m combining it with a retirement party. Its going to be October 26th. It’s the end of one career and the beginning of a new one. I will have paperback copies of the book Not My Story To Tell that evening for sale. That does not… Read More Some Clarification

You’re Invited!

I’ve set the date for my book launch. I’m combining it with my retirement as an Educational Assistant. The date is Thursday, October 26th. I’m hoping to have it ready on time for pre-orders. This is a real party and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be paperback copies available for $4.99. I realize… Read More You’re Invited!

Today, I Will Send My Book To The Editor

My book Not My Story To Tell has been edited once. It’s been Beta read and I’ll be adding a few chapters, revising and correcting a few things and then it will be ready to be edited another two times. The first time I had it edited, I used Fiverr. This was an inexpensive way… Read More Today, I Will Send My Book To The Editor
