My grandson, Oliver is 2 1/2 and has spoken in complete sentences for months now. He’s small for his age and it’s funny to see people’s reactions when he carries on entire conversations. People literally crank their heads and stare.
He was visiting this weekend. It’s our ritual to go next door and play on the swings and go down the slide. Our neighbour build a play area for his grandchildren but they’ve outgrown it so Oliver has been invited to use it. There’s an airplane swing and little clubhouse. After having some fun we returned to our backyard.
As soon as we entered, Oliver exclaimed, “Oooooooo…..pretty!”
My sedum is blooming and the hydrangea has turned pink. The coneflowers are still in full bloom too.

As we approach the season of harvest, seeing such beauty in full bloom is re-assuring. Oliver will bloom, as well, in the fullness of time. May you live to see much of it.
