Today is the last day of July and my last letter of the alphabet. If you would like to take the challenge here are the guidelines. It has really helped motivate me to write daily. I hope you decide to accept.
I practice the laws of attraction. I’ve written about it many times and held a weekly event called Monday Motivators. Gratitude is a huge part of attracting good things into your life. When you stop to think of all the good things in your life you don’t have time to wallow in self-pity. It’s difficult to change your thinking at first. We tend to dwell on negativity. That’s just human nature. It takes practice to stop and realize the good things.
Start a list of everything good. It might be your morning coffee, a song on the radio, the sunshine. Then say “thank you for my coffee”, “thank you for the sunshine”. You’ll be amazed at how great you will feel. It’s life changing!
When Justine died three years ago, people were amazed, and still are, at how I was able to move forward. Of course I was devastated and sad but I didn’t dwell on it. I’m happy. I know bad things happen in life but it doesn’t have to make you bitter or angry. I did go through a stage where I was very angry. That is one of the stages of grief. The point is, I moved through it and came out content with my life. I appreciate all the good I have, instead of always thinking of what I’ve lost.
I’m grateful for everything I have. It has helped me in a million ways. Try it!
Thank you for this encouraging post on remembering to be thankful
