I work in a high school. Today they cancelled all the school busses in anticipation of a storm. At first they said freezing rain would start at 9:30 am. Then they changed it to noon. It appeared to really start to freeze about 2pm. My drive home wasn’t too bad after I spent 15 minutes scraping the thick ice off my car but it appears to be getting worse. My Shih Tzu, Boo just slid on the icy walkway. My meeting tonight got cancelled. I live in Ontario, Canada.
Unseasonably warm and rainy with periodic thunderstorms. Been a mild winter for us…thus far. I HATE ice storms!! We lose power and, because we live rurally, we aren’t a priority in getting it back on. It’s happened several times in our 17 years in the middle of nowhere, and it’s always out for two weeks or more in wide-spread events. No. I veto the ice. 😃

In San Antonio Texas today it hit 87°.
Unseasonably warm weather for sure. It is supposed to cool off on Thursday though. Here’s hoping.

Stay safe, Cathy Lynn. As I remember, the weather in Ontario can get hot, rather quickly- even after the coldest of winters.

For some reason I get a lot of spam in response to this post. Am I the only one? It always starts out “in response to J-Dub”
