I know that many people were shocked and disappointed that a bigoted, misogynynous, ignorant, pompous millionaire was elected as President of a well respected country. There has been much doom and gloom about the coming year because people are fearful of what is to come. It’s valid to feel that way but what I’ve learned through the laws of attraction is what you concentrate on, or fear, is what you will get. We need to start thinking more positively so that 2017 will be the best year yet.
Personally, 2017 is going to be fantastic. I’m turning 60 in June. You can read more about how I’ve already started to celebrate here. I’ve vowed to start a year of “yes” sometime this year. You can read a short story I wrote about that here. The final and probably the best reason that 2017 will be wonderful is that after working for 40 years I will be retiring in October. I have much to celebrate and be thankful for this year. I’m looking forward to seeing how my life will improve by thinking about good things and being grateful for all I have in my life. By doing that, I will be attracting wonderful things into my life. I can’t wait to see the exciting surprises that are coming this year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 2017 will be spectacular!
Congratulations on retiring, you’ll be busier than ever!😂

Many people tell me that. I think when we work there is little time for other things but when we retire we can do many things.

60 was huge for me, as I then had outlived my father- to the relief of my fearful siblings, two of whom have since reached the milestone themselves. I have enjoyed my sixties so far-six years worth. Happy New Year, Cathy and family.

My father died at 66 but I’m in better health and have a less stressful profession.

Some positive thoughts to start the year from fellow blogger Cathy Lynn Brooks. There’s so much depressing stuff out there, and it’s easier than ever to find bad news online, so let’s share some good stuff as well!

I posted this on my Facebook page a couple of days ago.
“Thank you everyone for the good wishes for my birthday. I enjoy every day of my life because I never, ever, imagined that I could possibly live past the age of 40. Well, I did! 29 and counting!”
Retirement is great, and you will be busy. Enjoy!
