Yesterday I posted that I was going to dedicate a few hours to reading. You can read that here. I got my lawn chair out on my deck, got a glass of water and settled in for an afternoon of reading “The Little Paris Bookshop” by Nina George. I was enjoying it very much. I read 53 pages and I’m not sure why I did it but I checked my email. My book had arrived from the editor. I did spend my afternoon reading but it was my own book Not My Story To Tell that I read.
I would have done exactly the same (although I enjoyed The Little Paris Bookshop, too!) Congratulations, Cathy!

Thanks Pam. Maybe my mind is elsewhere right now and I shouldn’t be so hard on myself.

In such a time of memories and bittersweetness, it is certainly something to be able to savour your own work.
