What is summer for, if not relaxing? I took a few family photos on Canada Day that fit this challenge perfectly. This is my mom and sister, Janet relaxing in my brother, Gord’s back yard. Thanks to Soul Seaker for this fun summer challenge.

It looks like you are really embracing the challenge. Canada day is July 3rd, right? I just know it’s close to Independence Day here in the US.

Canada Day is always July 1st. It used to always be the same weekend as Independence Day but now we celebrate it on July 1st. This year it was the Friday but other years it falls on a weekday (which most Canadians don’t like).

Yeah, same with us with July 4th. It was a Monday this year, which is amazing. I don’t know many people who like normal Mondays.

I love your yard! My yard is so small, and my house is set back so far that we don’t have a place to really sit outside and just be. I hope to change that next year.

This is my brother and sister-in-law’s yard. The picture of the veranda is from the farmhouse we stayed in, in PEI.

Lovely pictures. I really like the chairs on the veranda. Is the closest one with the straight back an antique?xx

I’d guess it is. This was an old farm house we stayed at in PEI.
