Yesterday my friends and I had high tea in a schoolhouse that had been turned into a tea house. You can see more pictures here. Although I never went to school in a one-room schoolhouse I did go to Grade Four in a big old school that had desks that were bolted to the floor with holes for the ink wells. There were so many old books there that I had studied when I was in elementary school. It was fun looking through the spelling books and readers.
