Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario (also known locally as the AGO) in Toronto. You can read a little more about that here. We Canadians are particularly proud of our artists and especially the Group of Seven. Here is some information.
I was very excited to be able to see a few originals from some of the members of these prestigious Canadian artists.
I’m sure most Canadians are familiar with the group of seven but I was wondering if they are known internationally.
never heard of them before – thanks for sharing!!!

I was first introduced to the Group of Seven, in 1972, by a teen girl in Toronto, who rolled her eyes when talking about how her elders view them as a National Treasure. She probably no longer feels that way, in her maturity.

Well, of course I am familiar. There was an art gallery that featured many of their work. It hard to believe they would be so beloved in Canada and not elsewhere. Sort of line Anne of Green Gables. I read every book written by L.M. Montgomery.

I read all her books too. I re-read them as an adult and loved them again. I do know that Anne is extremely popular in Japan. I think she’s loved worldwide. I wrote a blog about my trip to PEI.
