My grandson, Oliver is 11 months old. Many of the babies in his playgroup are having birthdays. The parents rent a hall and invite all the families to the party. Everyone brings food. Yesterday we went to a first birthday where there were 14 babies and several older children. It was so much fun watching all the kids playing and interacting with each other. It’s great for the parents too! The babies especially loved playing with all the tissue paper from the gifts. We were there for three hours but everyone seemed reluctant to leave when it was over.

What fun, and way more practical than some parties I’ve seen. A box of tissue is a perfect one year old gift! (And bubble wrap is great for a two year old!) 😉

I had a great time. All the parents were very relaxed and that calmness reflected onto the babies.

Great pictures. It sounds wonderful to be in the middle of all the babies. Actually I enjoy the company of babies more as a grandmother than when I was in the stew of raising three rambunctious boys.
