500 Followers! Thank You!

I have reached another milestone. I’d like to thank each and every one of you for following me, supporting me and commenting. When I set my goals for WordPress I had no idea what would be an appropriate number of followers to reach for. I shot high and chose 300 followers by the end of 2015. I thought I would be very pleased to have that many but wondered if it was possible. I’ve exceeded it and I challenge you to pick a number and a date that you think is far-fetched. It works!

What is your goal number and date to reach your desired number of followers?

      1. I took Writing 101 and loved it!! I tried Blogging 101 and dropped out. I’m a slow learner when it comes to computer technology, but plan to try it again. I look forward to taking Writing 201. I see I missed the class in Feb but will sign up for March if it’s given. Thanks for the reminder!!

      2. When it comes to blogging operations there are many facets to the whole. I would need to set one small goal at a time. I don’t know/understand the terminology so it is difficult for me to determine a goal to set. Are you able to simplify this for me??

      3. They asked us to set a goal for how many followers you would expect to get and to name a time limit. I was like you. I had no idea so I aimed high and said 300 followers by the end of the year. This was in July so it gave me 5 months. I thought it was a long shot but I surpassed it in 3 months. They give you other ideas as to how to gain followers too like entering events and hosting events.

      4. Oh…guess I’m barking up the wrong tree! I had two awards, but never followed thru to claim them. I should have, right? How do I find out about entering/hosting events?? Thanks for taking time to help me!

      5. When you see that other people have entered a contest or event they will usually post the link so their readers can go check it out. For example I usually enter “Writer’s Quote Wednesday” (which I will be doing a little later). I will find a quote on Google, use it and then link it to the blog “hosting” the event. Several other people do the same and then we all like each other’s. It’s a way to get new followers and follow others.
Here’s the link if you want to go see.

  1. Wow Cathy that’s amazing. I’m not surprised though. Your posts are interesting, unusual and make me reflect on things I’d not considered, or feel encouraged. I may not “comment” as often as I should and I’m sorry for that (combination of sporadic internet access and sporadic health 😉 ) but I always look forward to your updates. Thank you for making this site and for what you share on it so honestly. You’re also bringing together those of us who follow your blog and we go on to gain a lot from maybe sharing further experiences and interests and so on. Thank you so much.

  2. I am so excited for you!! WELL deserved. I always smile when a notification comes for a new post from you. My first Blogging101 I was just hoping my family would follow me, giggles. And surprisingly they’re not my ONLY followers!! I’d love for my followers to increase…but if they do not I know I’ve already surprised myself. Hugs and again, congratulations!
