Today is November 5, 2015. It is special for 2 reasons. One is that it’s my mother’s 81st birthday. The second reason is that we, in Canada, broke a weather record set in 1929. It is usually winter here but we reached a temperature of 22° C (71° F). My mother has never had summer weather for her birthday before.

It’s nice to know that surprises can be had even at 80 years of age. Mom received the surprise of “summer” for the first time in her life on her birthday. I’ll bet she enjoyed the experience. Wishing her at least 40 more opportunities for a second November “summer!” Happy Birthday to her and best wishes to your entire family.
