We Canadians had our national election a couple of weeks ago. We elected Justin Trudeau, who is the son of one of our very popular former Prime Ministers, Pierre Trudeau.
I met Pierre Trudeau many years ago when he was campaigning for Prime Minister and he came to my small town of Wingham, Ontario. I was 12 years old. I got my picture taken for the local paper because he signed my poster. It read,
“Monsieur Trudeau, tu est charmant”. (Mister Trudeau, you are charming). He was French-Canadian so he liked my French poster. That poster hung on my wall for years. I wish I still had it now.
