Before my next post…

which will either be some random nonsense or a review of a bad movie like The X Files: I Want To Believe, Cool World or even, perish the thought, the Michael Bay version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I figured it would only be fair that I do a guest post on Cathy’s blog after she invited me to do so (and also she did one on mine, check it out here).

Reading her blog, she posted a challenge asking for people to write about a funteresting thing that happened this week so here’s mine. On the Friday, I went to the Leisuremax centre with my brother and his son, both called James (to distinguish between the two, I call them Old James and Young James as opposed to everyone else calling them Big James and Little James). I was hoping to do bowling while we were there but it was just our luck that the lanes were all booked up so we played pool instead, another thing I was looking forward to do, and believe me, playing pool from a wheelchair is hard to do but I managed it. Then we tried some of the arcade machines, I played some prize games. One where you had to get a key in a lock and the other was a claw machine, where I nearly won a Minion but I guess it was too heavy to stay in the claw. Then we left.

We headed to KFC, where we shared a six piece bargain bucket. I was really disappointed that we didn’t get to do bowling but y’know what can you do. We’re going to see about golfing soon and hopefully, we’ll get to do that.

So there you have it, an exciting Friday that didn’t last too long and I’d like to conclude with a video of Homer screaming…

Thank you and I hope I get to do this again.

  1. Thank you very much for your “Funtresting” Guest Blog. Playing pool with the 2 James does sound fun. I haven’t played pool in many years. I didn’t know you were in a wheelchair so I learned something new about you too. I was sure your blog would be fiction so I was pleasantly surprised that you wrote something personal. Thanks again!

  2. Outstanding. In reference to Old James and Yung James reminds of a couple I once knew. His name as Lee. Her name was Lea. In order to attract the attention of the correct one we called either She Lea, or He Lee.

    It Worked.

    🙂

BTW – A forum staff member directed me on how to fetch a “LIKE” button on http://n7net.me. Now I, too, can enjoy that final click.
